Veteran thief, Keith Ripley (Morgan Freeman) finds a notorious thief (Antonio Banderas) to help him in a tough assignment involving the heist of two Faberge eggs worth twenty million dollars. The valuables are located in a vault that’s almost impossible to break into but the thief has to get hold of them in order to settle a debt to a powerful mobster, Nicky. Not willingly yet wanting to conform to Ripley’s request, Gabriel joins him in the scheme. Meanwhile, for Lieutenant Weber who hasn’t been able to put the experienced thief behind bars for twenty years, this master robbery offers a great opportunity to trap Ripley. This time Weber does his homework and knows what to expect of the movements of the criminals.

Directed by Mimi Leder, it is indubitably a well-made film with a cast who’ve played their roles well. And Morgan Freeman together with Antonio Banderas are real good value to the film as masterminds in the game plan.
